The show featured the most famous characters such as Kermit, Miss Piggy, Animal, Gonzo, Rowlf, Scooter, Janice and Fozzie all as babies. Regular characters included Bunsen, Beaker and later Uncle Statler and Waldorf (although Statler and Waldorf weren't babies).
Scooter's twin sister, Skeeter, only appeared in this series. She was voiced by male actors though.
Gonzo's chicken, Camilla also appeared in the tv series, also as a baby chick.
Howie Mandel, who voiced Bobby and created the show Bobby's World, voiced Animal and Bunsen before Dave Coulier joined.
Dave Coulier, known to 90s kids as Uncle Joey from Full House voiced some of the babies, including Animal and Bunsen.
The idea for the show was introduced in the 1984 movie, the Muppets Take Manhattan, as part of a dream sequence.
This show was one of the first spin-offs to feature characters in their younger years. Soon after its launch other shows followed like A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, The Flintstone Kids, Tom and Jerry Kids and Tiny Toon Adventures.
