The story was originally written by Rudyard Kipling and is based in a jungle in India, although in the movies not all the animals featured come from India.

The vultures in the first film were based off the then look of the Beatles, and originally the Beatles were going to voice them in the movie.

Verna Felton, who voiced Winifred (the wife of Colonel Hathi) had voiced an elephant before, in Disney's Dumbo.

During the film, "the Bare Necessities" song, three prickly pears end up Kaa's head in the form of the classic Disney Mickey Mouse symbol.

As with a lot of films, there are characters from other films by Disney in the Jungle Book 2, Flounder (from the Little Mermaid) appears during the river scene with the elephants looking for Baloo.

The bear necessities is the best song in the world. I really like 'i wanna be like you' too. One of the greatest films to sing a long too.

The environment of jungle is very risk for kids. Parents should not go to jungle with their little kids alone. It is the source of wild animals. The photos of this page are an example
